Maruti Temple

At a separation of 3.3 km from Panjim Kadamba Bus Stand, 28 km from Vasco Da Gama Railway Station and 17 km from Mapusa, Shri Maruti Temple is arranged in North Goa.

The Maruti Temple is arranged on top of the Altinho slope ignoring the Fontainhas area in Panaji. It is devoted to master Hanuman, the monkey god and reveres Lord Hanuman as the directing god. One can see the delightful octagonal Deepastambha or Lamp Tower at this Temple.

Shri Maruti Sansthan is a case of wonderful engineering, splendid orange structure against a green scenery, and wide strides that start from the foothill in Mala where an old characteristic new water spring, once a help of the region still extinguishes the thirst of local people. This spring has three tanks where water gathers from the mountain before streaming into a repository.

The significant celebration is the 10 day long yearly celebration celebrated at this sanctuary in the month of February. This sanctuary pulls in gigantic number of aficionados on this uncommon event.
